Al leads the technology and patent search group at Founders Legal.

As a researcher, engineer, scientist, strategist, academic, venture capitalist, and entrepreneur, Al’s career has been spent working within the fuzzy front-end of innovation to bring ideas from the mind to the market.

Al Founded Atlanta Patent Services (APS) to provide local, expert research to lawyers, companies, and entrepreneurs in the Southeast and beyond. In 2020 Founder’s Legal and APS partnered to tightly integrate search and legal, to optimize the critical initial stages of patent prosecution and lay the groundwork for successful execution.

Al’s intellectual curiosity and deep experience in a diversity of roles within start-ups and small entities, as well as large entities such as Northrop Grumman, U. of MD, and Shaw Industries, enable him to bring substantive expertise to bear on a diversity of technology fields:
