Matthew M. Teismann is a senior international corporate and commercial attorney who helps technology-driven companies, investors, and boards structure, negotiate, and execute complex business transactions across borders. With more than twenty years of experience spanning technology, capital, and global business expansion, he advises clients on AI-related funding rounds, sophisticated commercial agreements, international joint ventures, and strategic growth initiatives across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas.

Matthew’s practice is particularly focused on high-growth technology companies, data center and digital infrastructure businesses, and institutional and professional investors. He frequently serves as a “Fractional General Counsel” to founders and executive teams, guiding them through financing transactions, cross-border expansions, and complex technology-enabled commercial relationships while coordinating closely with tax, intellectual property, technology/data, and M&A specialists.

Before joining Founders Legal, Matthew held senior in-house and advisory roles with global companies, where he built and led legal departments, designed governance and risk frameworks, and negotiated multibillion-dollar projects and strategic investments. He has been named to the Legal 500 GC Power List in recognition of his work and leadership.

Matthew holds a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, an M.A. in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs, and a B.A. magna cum laude from The Catholic University of America. He is admitted to the Georgia Bar and the District of Columbia Bar and is also an Accredited Director. Now based in Atlanta, Matthew works with founders, funders, and executives to connect regional innovation with global markets and to build scalable legal, governance, and transactional frameworks that support long-term growth.
