Trigger Mechanism for a Firearm

ASSIGNEE: Browning
US PAT. Appl. NO. 17/515,009

Invention Overview:

Browning, a renowned name in the firearms industry, has built its legacy through its commitment to innovation and quality. Known for producing some of the best triggers in the market, the company continues to push the boundaries of firearms technology. A recent patent application further solidifies Browning’s reputation, revealing a groundbreaking trigger mechanism that offers users enhanced customization and security features.

Founded in 1878 by the legendary firearms inventor John Moses Browning, the company has been at the forefront of firearms design and manufacturing for over a century. From the development of the first successful gas-operated machine gun to the introduction of the famous Browning Automatic Rifle, the company has played a significant role in shaping the landscape of modern firearms. One of the key factors behind Browning’s success has been its unwavering commitment to producing high-quality triggers. Through its innovative designs and attention to detail, the company has set the standard for triggers in the industry.

The recent patent application showcases Browning’s ongoing dedication to innovation and excellence. This new trigger mechanism allows manufacturers and users to adjust the trigger pull weight easily while ensuring a tamper-proof design. One of the standout features of this trigger mechanism is the ease with which it can be customized. A first fastener with a removable portion can be inserted into a threaded recess using a tool or even a thumb and finger. The position of the first fastener within the recess determines the minimum trigger pull weight of the trigger mechanism. Once the first fastener has been set to the desired position, the removable portion can be broken away or removed, preventing subsequent tampering and ensuring the trigger pull weight remains as set by the manufacturer. This unique combination of customization and security features sets the trigger mechanism apart from others in the market.

The patent application also discloses a firearm design incorporating this innovative trigger mechanism. The trigger mechanism allows for the trigger sear to disengage from the main sear, permitting rotation of the main sear when the trigger is rotated. The trigger mechanism’s design allows for a high degree of customization in terms of trigger pull weight. The biasing members can be adjusted to vary the force required to rotate the trigger and disengage the actuator from the sear. Additionally, the biasing members are designed to apply different forces on the actuator, providing a fine level of control over the trigger pull weight.

The innovative trigger mechanism revealed in the patent application demonstrates Browning’s continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of firearms technology. By providing a high level of customization and a tamper-proof design, the trigger mechanism addresses the needs of both manufacturers and users. This groundbreaking innovation has the potential to significantly impact the firearms industry by setting a new standard for trigger mechanisms. Moreover, this patent publication further solidifies Browning’s reputation for producing some of the best triggers in the firearms industry. As the company continues to innovate and build on the foundation laid by John Moses Browning, its contributions to the field of firearms technology will undoubtedly continue to shape the industry for years to come.

PATENT ABSTRACT & ART:
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to trigger mechanisms for firearms. In one aspect of the present disclosure, the trigger mechanism can include a linkage between a striker sear and a main sear to control an amount of force exerted on the main sear by the striker sear. A portion of the force exerted on the striker sear by the striker can be exerted on the main sear through the sear linkage. In another aspect of the present disclosure, trigger mechanisms are described which additionally, or alternatively utilize one or more biasing members to provide a variable trigger pull weight.

Pool and Spa Water Hammock Device and Methods of Use

ASSIGNEE: BULLFROG INTERNATIONAL, LC,
US PAT. NO. 11,638,475 B2

Invention Overview:

A newly patented pool hammock is taking the world of relaxation to a whole new level. Designed to provide users with a zero-gravity floatation experience, this innovative hammock-style support system is making waves just in time for summer. The pool hammock includes a pool with swim jets for creating a current enhancing the relaxation effects of the hammock When the hammock is not in use the swim jet can also be used to create a swimming current for exercise.

To anchor the hammock to the pool several anchors are permanently attached to the interior of the pool. These anchors connect to the user support hammock, allowing it to be suspended within the water. The hammock is generally rectangular in shape, with a head support portion at one end. Using multiple anchor points limits swaying and simulates a zero-gravity flotation experience.

The hammock is made from a water-permeable material, allowing water to flow through it while the user floats. This feature enhances the feeling of weightlessness and comfort during the spa experience. The head support portion of the hammock may also include additional support members to increase rigidity and provide more comfortable head support for the user. Pillows may also be added for extra comfort.

This patented pool hammock offers a truly unique and relaxing experience by simulating a zero-gravity flotation sensation. With its innovative and carefully designed features, this hammock provides a new way for people to enjoy their pool and relax in unparalleled comfort.

PATENT ABSTRACT & ART:
A system and method for providing a hammock for a user to rest thereon in the water of the spa. The hammock may include a proximal end with head support portion and one or more attachment means for connection to an anchor on the spa shell, and a distal end with one or more attachment means for connection to an anchor on the spa shell. One or more lateral coupling members may couple the hammock to the lateral sides of the spa, and one or more longitudinal coupling members may couple the hammock to a front side and/or back side of the spa.
