Sometimes finding your friends across the extensive social media landscape can be difficult. Snap Inc. has received a patent for a customizable visual code system that simplifies website access, allowing users to create personalized codes associated with network addresses. Each user code can be personalized with visuals such as images and markings, making connecting with your friends more efficiently and visually appealing. When the customizable visual code is scanned, one or more pages are displayed on the scanning device, simplifying web page access.
The customizable visual code system consists of client side visuals and server side links. A client code enables users to generate scannable images to use the visuals to connect to the server links. Users can also generate their own scannable images and incorporate their desired links. Once the scannable image is created, users can share it with others. Then, once linked image is scanned, the system can process the scannable image to display the content associated with the scanned image.
The customizable visual code system offers a new way for users to navigate the social media landscape. Allowing users to create personalized scannable images associated with network addresses makes web navigation more efficient, visually engaging, and user-friendly.

Various arrangements of electronic devices, such as assistant devices, are detailed herein. Such a device can include a housing and a microphone. A microphone aperture can be defined by the housing that directs sound from outside the housing to the microphone. A cover, which can be fabric, can be attached with the outside of the housing. An adhesive ring on the housing around the microphone aperture can be used to attach the cover to the housing.
