About Melanie Lane

Melanie Lane officially joined Founders Legal as an Associate Attorney in June 2023, enriching our Trademark and Litigation teams with her unique perspective and wealth of knowledge.

A graduate of the University of Georgia, Melanie received a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Marketing along with a Certificate in Legal Studies. She further pursued her passion for law at Pepperdine University’s esteemed Caruso School of Law, where she obtained her J.D. in 2022. During her time at Pepperdine, Melanie distinguished herself academically, earning the CALI Award for the highest grades in both International Business Transactions and International Commercial Arbitration courses.

Immediately after graduation, Melanie put her education into practice at Oliver Hughes LLC, an all-women firm specializing in business and contract disputes. Within just three months, Melanie was entrusted with running numerous aspects of cases independently, a testament to her robust legal acumen and impressive leadership skills. Melanie holds a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Pepperdine University, equipping her with the skills to facilitate effective solutions in complex disputes.

Melanie’s love for the law is matched by her commitment to her community. An active member of her local church, Peachtree Christian Church, she serves as the Treasurer of her chapter of the church’s Christian Women’s Fellowship group, volunteers with the youth group, and holds the position of deacon.

In her leisure time, Melanie embraces her love for travel and reading. Her adventures have taken her to London, where she spent a semester during law school working at a large firm on an IPO. When not traveling or immersed in a book, Melanie enjoys spending quality time with her beloved Staffordshire Terrier and Lab.
